The Collective Impact Social and Economic Showcase and BDCU Limited Annual General Meeting
On the evening of the 28th November, members, guests, and the BDCU team came together at The Briars Conservatory for an inspiring evening at the Collective Impact Social and Economic Showcase and BDCU Limited Annual General Meeting 2024. Alongside reflections on key financial and social impact achievements, we proudly unveiled two game-changing initiatives designed to help shape the future of our community:
• Essential Workers Initiative
A bold program focused on uplifting and supporting the essential workers who are the backbone of our region.
• 5-Year Scholarship Commitment
A significant investment in education, opportunity, and the next generation.
The evening also highlighted a transformative collaboration with Moss Vale High’s Support Unit. Jim Good shared how a newly completed kitchenette, made possible with BDCU’s support, is set to provide students with hands-on experience in building practical skills, confidence, and independence as they prepare for the workforce. Crucially, this initiative also offers carers rare opportunities to reclaim time for themselves, reengage with their community, and focus on their own wellbeing.
We were also delighted to launch the BDCU The Collective Impact Social Impact Report 2024. Copies were eagerly snapped up on the night, and you’re welcome to pop into a branch to pick one up.
This marks an exciting new chapter in BDCU’s journey, showcasing our deep commitment to creating lasting impact and improving lives in the communities we serve.
Thanks to everyone who joined us, and to the team at The Briars Conservatory for their wonderful hospitality.
